Be Specific
The first element of S.M.A.R.T. is specificity. To be specific is to be clear and well-defined, leaving no room for ambiguity or misinterpretation. Making your goals more specific requires answering the following questions:
What do we want to achieve?
Why do we want to achieve it?
Who is involved?
What resources are needed?
When do we want to achieve it?
If you're looking for ways to increase team engagement and buy-in, working through these questions with your leadership and having your leaders work through these questions with their teams will certainly help. Now let's go get specific with our goals!
