Is It Achievable
The third element of S.M.A.R.T. is achievability. The creation of an effective goal requires asking, is it achievable? An achievable goal is realistic and attainable, given the resources and limitations of your company.
To make your goals more achievable, answer the following questions:
Is it possible with the team, resources, technologies, budget, etc. that your company has?
Do we have access to the resources and the capabilities to achieve it?
What are our potential obstacles?
How can we overcome the obstacles?
To rally your team around your company goals and getting them excited about how you can achieve them together is the magic that leaders are searching for. So, get to work and be sure to build into this goal how you will track attainment and recognize those who hit the benchmark or KPI and achieve the desired outcome. Until next time my friend!
